Kelsey is seeking re-election to the Hastings School Board in November and she would love to earn your support. Over the last four years on the board, Kelsey has advocated for more equitable schools, environmentally friendly practices, and financial responsibility. Some accomplishments and projects include:

•  Remaining on the budget as the district completes a $49.5 million bonding project

•  Entering into a Solar Garden contract, saving the school district an average of      $100,000 per year

•  Hastings’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Proclamation

• Adoption of the AVID program in Hastings High School

• School District was awarded Achievement and Integration dollars through the state 

• Worked to actively engage community members in the superintendent search process as well as the strategic planning process

•  Kept issues of equity at the forefront of school board decisions 

•  Working with the board to establish a Committee Engagement Committee in order to build relationships with community member and uplift community voices

Kelsey would love to the opportunity to continue representing our community on the school board and be a voice for equitable practices that ensure each and every child in our district has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
